Rain drops keep falling.. er.. where?

A single drop of rain,
Made its way through the heavens,
Blissfully unaware of the pain
Of its lonely existence.

The drop of rain was filled with shame
When it saw the oceans so wide,
Missing the kingdom from whence it came
the drop of rain cried.

The sheer vastness made it squeal,
"Next to the big ocean, who am I?
How do you think it makes me feel,
That the ocean exists and so do I?"

Thus,as it labored on its quest
To where its journey ends
It found its life is meaningless
Without the company of friends.

Filled with contempt and despair
the raindrop continued its descent
Until,an oyster finally noticed
And took it in as nourishment.

There it was,that the drop
Got crafted into a pearl,
Eventually,it was picked up at a shop,
By a pretty little girl.

The little girl showed it to all her friends
which made them green with envy
For the first time in its entire life,
The rain drop felt warm and rheumy

Having descended the lowest of depths
The halls of oblivion it went knocking,
Until, finally the universe had to notice
And transform it into being...

In finality,

Rain and rain come my way,
Dont wait another day.

Every one is very much like a small drop in their existence, apprehensive about their future and where they will end up...your drop had some luck there...at times luck plays its part to provide an oyester who will make you precious...
It was nice to read something so subtly lively, something to which all can connect... though it is worth mentioning that the ocean wont exist without each of its drops
But a genuinely amrit's style of work

oy!! this is good!!

although, if u expect to keep writing poetry, and this long, and this,er, good(the point being that most poetry on blogs sucks very badly) then expect to have writer's block very often. mix in lighter stuff.
